We design, build and maintain web and application software, and take on the engineering and R&D around it — from system architecture and backend work to DevOps and automation. The company is founded and run by an engineer with over 10 years of professional experience in software development and technical team leadership. We work entirely remotely, on a B2B basis, with clients across Europe and beyond.

What we believe

The name says it: byte + wright — the old word for a maker or craftsman, as in wheelwright or shipwright. Software is a craft. Done well, it is dependable, understandable, and cheap to change. We optimise for the total cost of a system over its life, not just the cost of the first release.
